Everything must come to an end, and so does this trip. Its been an amazing winter for me, started off in whistler for 4 days of riding with Jesse, Ian and some friends of theirs, it was icy and cold but fun! Then down to Lake Tahoe and the sun to visit Dan and his friends Karl and Marcus, rode Heavenly mostly, but had some days in Sierra and Northstar wich was awesome. Also got to see Reno. Those two weeks were AWESOME, I had a blast! thanks guys!! Then back on the plane again to head over for the main destination, Colorado. After some struggles to find out where we were gona stay we finally could unpack our bags and start living a normal life. The appartement was awesome, superfresh and had all the stuff u could ask for. Then, when we had hooked up a car (2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer), we could start exploring this area to the max, with all the 5 resorts we had on our skipass, plus some trips to Denver. 2,5months went by pretty quick but when we were back at the airport all three of us (me, marcus and maria) were happy about the time together and were looking forward for what was ahead.
The instant i stepped on Vancouver ground I had that good feeling I allways get here and it didnt get any worse when I arrived in Whistler. Could stay with some friends in Creekside (thanks Jesse, Ian, Rob and Justin) and I knew my last days in Canada were gona be good, I mean, GrenadeGamesV was here! Lots of VIP and free booz (thanks to JoJo) and lots of happy people everywhere. Top 3?
3. Halfpipe finals
2. VIP (haha)
1. Slopestyle finals
After grenade games was done we still had days left to ride, I changed my ticket and stayed another 2 weeks. Weather up on the mtn was usually like any other springday in whis, cloudy and even snowy some days even though it was may, but who cares! did some filming wich was fun and when u got down to the village the sun was smiling at u, perfect for bbqs and beers on patios in the village. me like!
I was flying out on wed (may13) and Dan on mon (may11) and on the way to Van we stopped by Johan Lahti and his girlfriend Jana in Squamish. Ive never really been there (more than going thru on the bus to Van) so I was stoked to check it out. Johan did some sightseeing for us and we went to a pretty cool waterfall. After some bbq we left for Van the same evening. We could stay at Robins (a friend of mine) place in Kitslano (south Van). Since she was workin that night we decided to have some food at the restaurant where she works at. The restaurant is called the Sandbar and is basicly a seafood restaurant. Really good food, not too expensive and with an awesome view at the water and Granville bridge.
Next day we cruised around in the city, i managed to do some more shopping (wich i kinda regret now, or my bankaccount does hehe) and taking farwell of Dan the man. Later that day I decided to meet up with Marcus&Maria who are gona stay in Van for a year and work. They now live at Marias aunts place in North Van so I went over there to watch the hockey (vancouver lost to chicago and are out of the Stanley cup). Tuesday we spent in north van just takin it chill, went back to Robins place that eve and later went out for a few beers one last time. Later that night Lisa (an old friend from Van) came by to say hi wich was awesome! :)
Wednesday was my last day, my flight wasnt until 5.20pm so i didnt have to rush wich was good, i hate rushing. Me and Robin went out for some frisbee-golf, I played really bad in the beginning but managed to win after all yay! haha.. never played it before, but it was fun, perfect to bring friends and beer and throw some frisbee! Then it was finally time for some Sushi-all-you-can-eat! Ive been craving this for a while now, and it was as good as allways and i got as full as allways hehe then we went back home to play some Rockband.
Flew out at 5.30pm, didnt have to pay extra for my heavy luggage wich i liked. The flight went easy, its a good time to fly out in the night and I kinda know this flight by now after a few visits here, so my body wasn’t in shock hehe. Spent a few hours in London, watchin the end of Flushed away (funny movie), landed safe and sound in sthlm, got my luggage straight away and managed to catch a train just as i got to the station, so perfect!
And now im here, in Linköping, wandering what to do the time ahead of me.. Need to find a job and sort out my economical situation.. well im not gona bore u with that now.

Thanks everybody that Ive been hangin out with and met this winter, Its been good times and a worthy ending of my snowboard-bum-career. Yep its true, Im goin to Uni this fall, if i get in… hmm otherwise i guess ill see u out there somewhere in the world haha :D

Thats it, but hopfully not all.. cause all good things must come to an end – but it is just the beginning of something else to start
Take care! (also check out the photos on prev posts)
